Background:
There are millions of people who suffer from debilitating inflammatory and autoimmune diseases against which there is no cure. Delta-8 THC is present in small quantity in cannabis and not many studies have been done on the bioactivity of this compound. Delta-8 binds to the CB1 receptor with less affinity when compared to delta-9 THC, and thus suspected to produce less psychoactive effects because of which it is better suited for clinical use.
