Dr. Daping Fan is an Assistant Professor of Cell Biology and Anatomy in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of South Carolina. His research primarily focuses on promoting the regression of atherosclerotic plaque by restoring macrophage cholesterol homeostasis and controlling macrophage inflammation.  Dr. Fan received a PhD. in in Molecular Biology and BioChemistry from Southern Illinois University and a M.D. from Nanjing University Medical School, China.
