Dr. Sudarshan is a Carolina Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of South Carolina. His specializations and research interests include novel techniques of growth of silicon carbide and epitaxial films, surface modification to produce porous silicon carbide (SiC), and SiC material and device processing. Dr. Sudarshan received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, a M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Mysore, Mysore, India, and a B.Sc. from the University of Bangalore, Bangalore, India.
