Dr. Hoppmann is Dean of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He joined the faculty in 1990 as a professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and was named Associate Dean for Medical Education and Academic Affairs in 2000. His areas of expertise are arthritis and connective-tissue diseases. Dr. Hoppman received his M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
