John Lavigne

Dr. John J. Lavigne is an Associate Professor with the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of South Carolina. His research interests include molecular recognition, supramolecular chemistry, sensors, materials, bio-organic chemistry, and physical organic chemistry. The goal of his lab is to understand and predictably control how molecules interact in order to develop new self-assembled materials for real world applications. Dr. Lavigne received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas-Austin.
