Dr. Farouk is an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. His research is focused in such wide spanning areas as 1) high carrier density fast switching plasma devices, 2) plasma assisted combustion, 3) plasma aided fuel reforming, 4) cool flames, 5) multi component liquid droplet combustion, 6) surrogate fuels for turbine applications, and 7) alternative and next generation fuels. Dr. Farouk received a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University.
