Dr. Navid Saleh Dept. of Civil & Env. Engineering University of South Carolina Dr. Saleh is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at University of South Carolina. His primary research focus is on environmental applications and implications of engineered nano-materials. His research is at the interface of several disciplines, including colloid/surface science, molecular biology, nanotechnology, and nano-medicine. More specifically, his research centers on problems involving physicochemical and biophysical processes in natural and environmental systems that includes: Developing environmental remediation technologies using smart nano-materials Fundamental understanding of fate and transport of engineered nano-materials Evaluating interactions of engineered nano-materials with biological species in the environment, and Innovating advanced agents in nano-medicine for drug delivery and cell tracking (MRI).
